About climbing roses - rambler roses

We greet you with kindness and a love for beauty, Rose Lover!

We invite you to discover the extraordinary world of explorers in our garden, namely the climbing roses. Beauty that climbs and envelops your space.

Choose to be inspired, day by day, by the wise and soul-beneficial liveliness of the image of blooming roses, and you can have this starting as early as tomorrow by planting climbing rose bushes.

We thought it would be truly useful to offer you valuable information about climbing rose bushes, so that you can enjoy flourishing gardens in rainbow colors that will fill you with positive energy all summer long, until late autumn.

As you already know, summer is the moment when we enjoy the fullness of rose flowers, enveloped in the charm and intense fragrance of roses.

For climbing roses, an important aspect is to keep them at a distance, about 50 cm between the fence and the rose. Why? For the simple reason that next to a concrete fence or building, the soil pH is alkaline, and this can lead to the appearance of chlorosis, meaning yellowing of the leaves. We don't want that for our roses, so let's be careful.

Also, for this aspect, it is important to improve the soil with composted manure or fertilizers and ensure that you hydrate (water) the climbing roses well, at least 10 liters per watering, because the soil does not retain enough water from natural rainfall.

An ingenious support system is another important aspect, which you can create yourself. The support architecture can be created from pergolas, various concrete or wooden structures, or wire, around which you will wind the rose shoots. Either way, you have an extreme number of solutions for creating an enchanting landscape depending on the space you have available. So, freedom for creation!

In the first year, when you plant it, be responsible and give the climbing roses a regular fertilization schedule. Why? To ensure the growth of 2-3m long branches, which you will guide wherever you want, and which, note, will support the secondary branches with the flowering shoots that you will enjoy whenever you see them. On these secondary shoots, you will work the following year for pruning, leaving only 4 buds per shoot, and thus you will ensure abundant blooms.

Pay extra attention when pruning climbing roses; this action is done only once a year, and it is recommended that you trim, cut, only the secondary shoots, not the long main branches, thus ensuring repeat and rich flowering.

To enjoy the most beautiful climbing roses, increased attention must also be paid to dried flowers on the stem, to give the rose vitality; there is really no sense for it to continue feeding the fruit of a withered flower with sap, so it is up to us to clean them periodically, to care for them.

Another form of care given to roses is ensuring that PREVENTION IS THE MOTHER OF HEALTH, consequently, spraying them against pests and diseases to ensure their health is imperative.

Wintering for climbing roses is mandatory if there is no heated wall, and this primarily involves mounding the base of the roses, so their foundation will be protected. For very cold areas, we recommend that you use an anti-freeze protection cloth, however, from our experience, we have observed that they are resilient roses and manage brilliantly to get through winter if they have received responsible care during spring-summer-autumn.

So, this was the information about climbing roses, which you should keep in mind to create a superb garden, full of colorful joy and intense rose fragrance.
