Rosarium Uetersen® is an award-winning Kordes shrub rose with long, arching branches, large, double flowers in an intense shade of pink that gradually fades to silvery-pink, and a constant, repeat-flowering habit. It naturally reaches approximately 150 cm in height and 100 cm in width, but can also be trained as a climbing rose when its long branches are tied to a support.
Choose it if you want a well-established, extremely frost-resistant rose that can grow as a generous, stand-alone shrub or be trained vertically on a fence, wall, or sturdy support.
Rosarium Uetersen® is one of those roses that adapts to the garden, rather than forcing the garden to adapt to it. Left to grow freely, its arching branches form a large and generous bush. Trained vertically and tied to a support, these same branches allow it to perform very well as a medium-sized climber.
Created by W. Kordes’ Söhne and introduced in 1977, the variety has earned a solid reputation over time for its abundant flowering and strong decorative presence in the garden.
The double flowers are approximately 8–10 cm in diameter. They open in a vivid, intense pink and then gradually fade to silvery-pink as they mature, creating natural color variations in every flowering flush.
Rosarium Uetersen® reblooms constantly throughout the season. Kordes rates it with a high level of general disease resistance. The foliage benefits from good air circulation and proper basic care, especially in conditions favorable to common foliar diseases.
Versatility is one of its greatest advantages: it can be grown as a shrub rose, integrated into a flowering hedge, or trained on a support to bring color to the vertical plane. The flowers are accompanied by a delicate fragrance, which complements their beauty without dominating the visual impact.
Recognized in international rose competitions, Rosarium Uetersen® remains a classic example of a variety that combines beauty with unusual versatility.
Quality 1+ (premium). The bushes are 2 years old, healthy, and obtained by grafting onto the strongest rootstock in the world today. This provides the roses with vigor and great long-term resistance.
