Bujor Itoh Yankee Doodle Dandy

"Yankee Doodle Dandy" is a charming, highly appreciated peony that will delight your eyes with the color of its flowers. This ITOH peony is endowed with a multitude of semi-double, violet-pink flowers, dusted with a fine layer of ivory-colored powder. Its generous flowers, bathing in sunlight, will certainly bring an extra touch of color and elegance to your garden. Its healthy, green foliage firmly supports the wonderful flowers and turns red in spring and autumn, which increases the value of this species.

These fascinating Yankee Doodle Dandy peonies are a perfect combination of an herbaceous garden peony and a tree peony. Itoh hybrids have taken the best of these crosses, and the result is exceptional. They have strong stems and a long flowering period like tree peonies, while the fragrance, ease of growth, and hardiness come from the herbaceous peonies.
