Herzogin Christiana is the kind of rose that immediately changes the atmosphere in the garden. It is a floribunda from the Parfuma collection, with a strong fragrance, round and full flowers in rich clusters, and a very healthy plant with excellent disease resistance.
It is not just beautiful; it is also proven by results: 2015 ADR for resistance, a fragrance award in Saverne, and a special award in Zweibrücken.
The flowers are full and round, with the appearance of compact rosettes in pale pink, with outer petals that lighten toward cream. It opens elegantly and looks clean and refined, without appearing pretentious.
The fragrance is its strong point, and it is noticeable. It has a citrusy-fruity opening, then remains fresh and clean, with notes of apple and lemon, and in the end, it leaves a warm, round rose bouquet with a fine sweetness. It is one of those roses that you plant near the terrace or along paths so you can smell it as you walk by.
It grows bushy and upright, with healthy foliage, usually reaching 70–80 cm at maturity. In borders and flower beds, it adds volume and order, while as a solitary plant in the front of the garden, it quickly becomes an attraction.
It is a rose that you choose once and then find yourself walking back to, just for the fragrance.
