Don Juan is a climbing rose of passion, with velvety flowers and an intense fragrance.
Few climbing roses manage to combine such a harmonious blend of intense color, strong fragrance, and repeat blooming as Don Juan. Considered one of the most highly regarded red climbing roses in the world, this variety transforms any pergola, wall, fence, or archway into a true spectacle of elegance.
Its large flowers, with a diameter of 10–12 cm, are richly double, consisting of approximately 30–35 velvety petals in a deep shade of ruby red, which maintain their intensity even during hot periods. Each flower exudes a strong and refined fragrance with classic rose notes, turning being near the plant into an unforgettable experience.
Don Juan blooms in successive waves from May until the first frost, offering spectacular flowers throughout the season, both solitary and clustered in elegant bouquets.
The plant develops vigorous and flexible shoots, reaching 2.5–3.5 meters in height at maturity, making it ideal for covering pergolas, arches, fences, walls, or facades. The dark green, glossy, and healthy foliage perfectly highlights the velvety flowers and gives the plant a decorative appearance even between flowering waves.
Due to its vigor, resistance, and spectacular flowers, Don Juan is the perfect choice for those who want an impressive climbing rose capable of becoming the focal point of any garden.
Don Juan is one of those roses that never goes unnoticed. With its large, velvety flowers, intense fragrance, and abundant blooming, it brings an extra touch of elegance and romance to any garden, serving as a benchmark choice for climbing rose lovers.
