A mature 'Bartzella' Itoh Peony has an incredibly elegant appearance. Well-established plants can produce 80 or more blooms each! The semi-double pastel-yellow flowers have a small rose-purple flare at the center and a pronounced sweet fragrance. They measure on average 18 cm and bloom during May-June.

The healthy green foliage forms an impressively robust mound of leaves about 70-80 cm tall.

Unlike some garden peony varieties, the foliage of this plant looks wonderful from spring until autumn and is substantial enough to be grown in place of a small landscape shrub.

It adapts well to both sunny and semi-shaded areas. A "must-have" in any sophisticated garden.

Flowering: May-June

Bush height: 70/80 cm

Planting distance: 50/60

Exposure: Sun / Partial shade
