Chantal Mérieux is a spectacular rose from the famous Générosa® collection by the Guillot house, created for gardens where the beauty of the flowers must be accompanied by a truly memorable fragrance.
Its elegant flowers, very rich in petals, open in delicate shades of pink, subtly shaded with carmine. The slightly wavy petals, beautifully arranged in quarters, create a flower with a romantic appearance, reminiscent of the charm of peonies and old roses.
The flowers are approximately 8 cm in diameter and appear either solitary or in small groups of up to three flowers. The contrast between the bright flowers and the glossy, healthy green foliage gives the bush an elegant look throughout the season.
One of the great strengths of the Chantal Mérieux variety is undoubtedly its intense and complex fragrance. Classic rose scents are complemented by surprising notes of raspberry, myrrh, anise, and cider, creating a rich, sweet, and sophisticated perfume.
Flowering is repeated, with flowers following one another from spring until late autumn. This generous rhythm of flowering makes it an excellent choice for gardens where color and fragrance are desired for as long as possible.
The plant forms a vigorous and well-branched bush, with a natural, slightly loose habit, reaching maturity at approximately 150 cm in height and 80 cm in width. It can be planted alone, in mass plantings, or alongside other perennials, and can also be grown in sufficiently generous containers.
The flowers also have good vase life, which makes Chantal Mérieux a wonderful choice for those who love to bring the fragrance and beauty of freshly cut roses into their home.
A refined, generous, and deeply fragrant French rose, Chantal Mérieux is the ideal choice for those seeking the romance of old-fashioned flowers in a modern, repeat-flowering rose.
