Trandafirii la rădăcină nudă trebuie scoși din câmp doar după ce au intrat în repaus vegetativ, s-au maturizat și sunt pregătiți pentru iarnă.
Dacă sunt scoși prea devreme, plantele sunt supuse unui stres inutil, iar lăstarii nu au timp să se maturizeze și să se „lemnifice”.
La sfârșitul toamnei, odată cu scăderea temperaturilor, creșterea încetinește, frunzele cad, iar lăstarii se lignifică – adică se maturizează și se „lemnifică”. Astfel, trandafirii intră în iarnă bine pregătiți pentru temperaturile scăzute.

Particularly early, the Ice MEILLANDECOR rose begins to bloom from mid-May, and after its first stunning bloom, it regularly offers successive waves of flowers until the frost. Generally grouped in light clusters of 3 to 5 flowers, its roses, with a diameter of 3-5 cm, open their fifteen flat petals like wild briar roses. The very attractive flowers reveal their cluster of golden-brown stamens, which are highly visited by bees. Almost pure white, their petals are sometimes veiled and, depending on climatic conditions, take on shades of pink or ivory, which helps complete their romantic charm. Endowed with exceptional vigor, the ICE MEILLANDECOR rose develops long shoots that creep along the ground. At maturity and untrimmed, the plant reaches a height of approximately 60-80 cm and covers more than 1 m²!
Its supple and thorny branches are adorned with small, elegant, glossy dark green leaves, often composed of 7 to 9 leaflets. An ideal frame for its delicate roses, its foliage benefits from excellent disease resistance and requires no sanitary treatment!
Very low maintenance, it is not essential to prune this rose every year, except to reduce its size if necessary. It is satisfied simply with a severe rejuvenation pruning every 5 to 7 years. Ideal for adorning large inaccessible embankments or unsightly retaining walls.
