A sky with a moon on a June night, a touch of turquoise ocean at noon, a bit of dawn blue, the green of a rose leaf, and the red of a petal? Or the darkness of night blended with green and red from the imagination? We still haven't figured out the Tantau House recipe, but Blue Moon seems to be made of all these.
What else would you make a violet-blue rose from, with intensely fragrant flowers that bloom repeatedly in waves until late autumn? What we do know for sure is that this superb rose with large flowers must be planted as close to the house as possible. Either by the entrance or near a window, because its exotic fragrance must be savored at every opportunity. Also due to its fragrance and rare beauty, the Blue Moon rose is also recommended for cut flowers in vases and floral arrangements. The cut flower has a vase life of approximately 5 days.
Quality 1+ (premium). The bushes are 2 years old, healthy, and obtained by grafting onto the strongest rootstock currently available. This gives the roses vigor and great long-term resistance.
