Sun lovers are among our favorites here at Famous Roses. Their kinship with the sun is evident, visible to the naked eye, especially when they bloom and bring brightness and warmth to every garden.
You can enjoy Abraham Darby, a masterpiece by the famous British creator David Austin, at any time of the day. However, many rose lovers have told us that the apricot-orange, coral-pink, and yellow shades painted on its large, cupped flowers, with approximately 70 petals, look best at sunset. It seems that something magical happens then. The whole garden takes on a reddish-orange hue, and of all the roses, Abraham Darby seems to shine the brightest.
Being a great sun lover, this wonderful floribunda seems to soak up light throughout the day, which might explain why it is one of the most radiant roses. As for its intense and rich fruity fragrance, we can only say that it is a pleasure for us to experience its fresh notes every time we approach it for care.
And if you already have an Abraham Darby in your garden, you perfectly understand our admiration for such a rose. If not, we invite you to discover it, and you will certainly thank yourself later for the inspired choice.
One more thing! You should also know that Abraham Darby is a rose that blooms repeatedly throughout the season and, at maturity, can reach heights of 1.3 - 1.5 m.
Shrub roses are known for their vigorous shrubby growth, developing as standalone bushes that do not need support or trellises, as is the case with climbing roses. They are ideal for adding volume to the garden, occupying a much more generous space compared to modern hybrids and offering a rich visual spectacle through their natural and dense shape.
Recommended for cut flowers in vases and floral arrangements. The cut flower has a vase life of approximately 5 days.
Quality 1+ (premium). These are 2-year-old bushes, healthy and obtained by grafting onto the strongest rootstock in the world today. This gives the roses vigor and great long-term resistance.
